Dashboard Reports
Shelters in the District report a nightly census of clients served at their respective sites. The Community Partnership has taken this data and compiled a shelter "dashboard" report - an interactive, visual model that lets users see trends in shelter occupancy.

Nightly census data is available for Men's and Women's Shelters and is aggregated by Ward as well. Data on the city's apartment-style Temporary family shelters is available throughout Hypothermia Season.

Included in the dashboard are three components to help users to better understand shelter utilization in the District:
- The Nightly Census graph looks at utilization by shelter or by ward over
a given month. Maximum Served, shown in blue is the
maximum number of clients served at each shelter each night. In
gray is the number of clients served by the shelter the same night in the
previous year. These figures are based on data reported by providers contributing
to the nightly shelter census.
In red is a shelter's Bed Availability. This is based on
provider contracts with the Community Partnership for year-round and/or Seasonal/
Overflow beds at each site.
- The Occupancy Rate graph looks at the shelter utilization over time. Shown in green, this shows the percentage of beds used at a shelter for three months at a time.
- Also included is a table detailing information on each shelter such as its contracted provider and monthly (duplicated) and average counts of clients served.
