Homeless Management Information System
THE HMIS data collection system allows the city to analyze data from within the homeless system and evaluate essential information related to the provision and assessment of services provided within all levels of the Continuum of Care, including seasonal emergency shelters, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing, for single adults, youth and families.
Due to the HUD HPRP and ServicePoint updates, the August and September Training Calendars will be altered significantly. Please visit the link on the front page of the website regularly for updates.
All troubleshooting sessions will be held at the Community Partnership offices on a first come first serve basis. Please be sure to indicate what you want to work on in the comments area provided.
You will note that the registration page changes after each months training and that the calendar is updated as needed. This means that you cannot RSVP for training more than a month in advance. We hope this will cut down on the number of people who RSVP and do not show up.
After you have completed the registration, you will get what looks like a blank page, this is the confirmation and if you
scroll to the top of the page, you will see the actual confirmation.
This page must be printed and signed by the AA and brought to the training.
Remember that it is your responsibility as Agency Administrator to ensure that your staff has access to the system before attending trainings. The only time that TCP generates the passwords for training is on the practice site for our New User trainings. The address for the live site is
https://washdc.servicept.com and for the practice site it is
http://www3.servicept.com/training/washdc Please add these sites to your favorites.
The email address(es) entered on the sheet will receive a confirmation of registration on the day preceding the training by noon. This means that it is very important that you spell the email address correctly. If you wish to get an email as well as your staff, then enter both email addresses separated by a semicolon (;). Since we will be using the email address you enter to generate the email list, it is imperative that you make sure the address is entered correctly.
New User Training:
New Users will receive a list of tasks to complete on the practice site. This will include entering and exiting families, adding and removing clients from bedlists, adding clients to the system, etc...
Please follow-up with any staff you send to this training to make sure they are completing these tasks.
HMIS Agency Profile:
Many Agencies have not submitted an Agency Profile. Please do so immediately if you have not. A notice will go out by early next week reminding you. If you are unsure, you can email the

Upon receipt, you may be contacted to discuss the profile and adjustments may need to be made.

ART licenses are being issued next week. If you are an AA and you do not have a license by Wednesday, July 15th, please email me at the
HMIS@community-partnership.org address.
