Demonstrating the Uses of Homeless Data at the Local Level
In 2007 the Department of Housing and Urban Development compiled a group of case studies that demonstrate the use of data at the local level. The Community Partnership's use of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for performance based contract renewals through the federal Super Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) process is described. Additionally the strategies employed to adapt similar practices to monitor program performance for locally funded programs are also described. Please see pages 27-29 for best practice strategies employed by the Community Partnership in DC.
